My Garden by RachaelB
My Garden
Night is fading away
The stars saying, “Goodbye.”
The moon welcoming day
God calling, “Arise!”
Birds hop from their nests
Rabbits bounce from their beds
Worms squirm in the ground
Bugs wander all about
Dressing up the turquoise sky
Dance the colors of sunrise
Swaying in the morning breeze
Spider webs strung with clear beads
Crystals reflect on the leaves
Fruit glistens on the trees
Delicate petals stretch open
This is morning in my garden
Workers come to gather their bounty
To take back home for their honey
Butterflies flutter from plant to plant
Creating together a graceful dance
All the colors of the rainbow
Blue, orange, red, and yellow
Reflecting the suns invisible rays
Coming together in a beautiful display
Ladybugs crawl, sunflower to sunflower
Grape vines grow into strung up tower
Berry bushes house large brown spiders
And serve tart food to hungry outsiders
Daytime passes in my magical land
Ending my dreams of a place so grand
Ah, what a way for light to go
Fading away ever so slow
Life waved goodnight
Rocking in the wind
God said, “Sleep tight!”
As I turned in
Night is fading away
The stars saying, “Goodbye.”
The moon welcoming day
God calling, “Arise!”
Birds hop from their nests
Rabbits bounce from their beds
Worms squirm in the ground
Bugs wander all about
Dressing up the turquoise sky
Dance the colors of sunrise

God Bless,
