The Land of Shadow and Night
The land of shadow and night
by caleb search
By mountains gray and oceans green
There lived a man with a noble heart
Morning the loss of his maiden fair
By the evil monster Rimgress
In the land of shadow and night
By mountains gray and beaches smooth
The man with the noble heart left
For to save his maiden fair
And to kill the monster Rimgress
In the land of shadow and night
By mountains gray and fields of tan
The man with the noble heart walks
Fighting minions of the evil monster Rimgress
In the land of shadow and night
By mountains gray and lakes of blue
The man with the noble heart runs
Slaying the illusions of water
Created by the evil monster Rimgress
In the land of shadow and night
By mountains gray and rivers brown
The man with the noble heart wades
Through the thick trapping mud
Laid down by the evil monster Rimgress
In the land of shadow and night
By mountains gray and plains of black
The man with the noble heart stops
To swing his blade in battle
And to kill the evil monster Rimgress
In the land of shadow and night
In mountains gray and caves of dark
The man with the noble heart saves
His maiden fair from her cage and chains
For the evil monster Rimgress is no more

Re: The Land of Shadow and Night
its kind of interesting where I got the inspiration from I was actually reading the bible and it mentioned Satan and I thought about how he deceives us with his minions and ilutions and lies and this poem just started writing itself in my head I literally had to wright it down on a scrap piece of paper it was coming so fast

Re: The Land of Shadow and Night
I think it's awesome to get an idea like that! ....and it's really cool to know the 'story' behind a poem. I've been looking into a lot of poems, songs, ect...and finding the inspiration for them...and sometimes it's really shocking.
But it's really cool...
anyways....that's awesome Caleb!
And where did the monsters come from???? now you got me wondering...

Wow... that is awesome!
I love it!
Yes, now you've got me curious... where did you get the name "Rimgress"?

Re: The Land of Shadow and Night
OH I have you curious do I? well I was sitting on my bed thinking about what to name the bad guy in my poem when I glanced at the pilgrims progress book I had been reading, but was half covered by some guitar songs I had been learning, all I could read was ...rims ...gres and that's where I got the name.

Re: The Land of Shadow and Night
well it kind of does represent my anger, I was writing this when I was really MAD and I wanted to make something to express how I felt that's why I was also reading the bible, trying to cool off
