Post by Crystal Rose C. Sat Nov 15, 2008 9:27 pm

This is a foword from along time ago but I love it!

CELL PHONE vs. BIBLE

I wonder what would happen if we treated our
Bibles like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing - unlike our cell phone, we don't have to
worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already
paid the bill!

Makes you stop and think 'Where are my priorities?'

And no dropped calls!

I'm not as attatched to my cell phone as much as most of my friends but I definitely take it more places than my Bible. Thanks for the comparison. I like it.

I rather hate my cell phone, no details, but what i find hard is how could we carry our bibles in our purses? unless you have pocket size, there's not alternative, or just have a really big purse.
But that does make me think about my Bible more. A couple mornings ago, my day didn't start so bright. My parents were yelling, kids were argueing, it was A MESS! so i ran away from the warzone and started reading my Bible. i felt more comforted when i went downstairs with God's Word.
I encourage ya'll, if your day isn't so bright, get with the Lord. Read your Bible. Pray. do whatever it takes to be with Him and just relax in Him.
That's how we should start our days.

Cellphone vs. Bible Empty Re: Cellphone vs. Bible

Post by Whitney B. Thu Jul 09, 2009 6:44 pm

FYI,

I was a Gresham a week or two ago. I heard this guy preaching...What was his name?...Oh! Mr. Frost! Lindsay's dad...Don Frost.
Anyway, he said: What do we do when we get an iphone? Well, if someone gives us one, we play with it, we use it, and we take if everywhere. We show it off to all our friends. Why? Because we're excited. Well, why don't we do that to the best gift of all? Life. We should use it and take it with us and share it with everyone. Show it off! Why aren't we excited? We're more excited about a toy that will perrish then the fact that YOU WON'T! You don't have to go to Hell! Why? Because HE die for YOU! And we too selfish and enberresed to share. Show it off. Be excited.
Do you want other's to go to miss out on the most wonderful gift of all? With God's help, they don't have to. But someone has to be willing to step up and tell them. Listen, you could save a person from hell and get them to Heaven for the price of just a little embarrasment. If you've ever been shopping, you know that's a bargin! Take it. Buy some one a gift.

The cell phone thing is true... I don't have a cell phone, but it's true in my life. But the Bible is our spiritual food, so we need to be feeding ourselves.
