One of my friends posted this on facebook, and it really hit me...

People want to be noticed. People want to be popular. People want other people to like them. Teens want it more. I know this because i am a person, and more importantly, a teen. We want to look "cool" and have "cool" friends and go to "cool" places-but why?? To please man or God?? We can easily throw God in the back seat and let our friends be #1. Even if our friends are Christians. It can lead us in vain thoughts, sin, forgeting our true friends, and eventually loss of what really counts in this world-GOD.
So i ask YOU TODAY:who should care??

Another take on it...when I'm always trying to look good for guys it helps me to remember that the most wonderful man who ever lived--Jesus--thinks I'm beautiful...and it doesn't matter as much what other guys think.

That is soo helpful. It really makes me think about who I'm trying to impress by hanging out with the different groups at school. I shouldn't be embarrassed because I don't hang out with the popular crowd.
